Agreed – I like how kayaking can be as easy or difficult as you make it. That said, I rarely make it very difficult for myself (not intentionally, anyway).
Among the many reasons people may choose to paddle canoes and kayaks is that they do so for exercise providing fantastic aerobic and cardiovascular effects and more.
Totally agree. Every year when the warm weather starts up again I realize I should have been doing more exercises to get ready for paddling season. My first couple of trips are killers until I get used to using my kayaking muscles again!
